The Zhitnikov Mansion (20, Kardovsky Street). Walking along Kardovsky Street (named after a Fine Arts Academician born in the Pereslavl area), a curious passerby will surely notice, some 100 yards away from the rampart, a fenced-in old mansion of red brick with large windows and an unusual awning over the entrance. The house was built in 1914 for the family of Nikolai A. Zhitnikiv, a merchant of the Second Guild.
