This dendrological garden is a wonderful island of nature, quite extraordinary for this geographical zone. Located within the town borders, it is a favorite place for residents and guests of Pereslavl to spend leisure hours. The collection of plants grown from the seeds of national and foreign botanical gardens includes around 1000 kinds, forms and varieties of decorative, fruit-bearing and forest-forming trees and bushes. Among 70 thousand plants growing on an area of 50 hectares are specimens from Japan, China, North America, Central Asia, the Far East, Caucasia and the Crimea. This exotic garden was started in Pereslavl by Sergey Kharitonov, a Merited Forester of Russia.
