The Prison Church.
Not far from the central road, nearPushkin Park, one can see an old two-story construction of red brick. This is what remains of the non-parish Sergievskaya church built in 1911 for needs of the town prison and financed by the factory owner S. Pavlov. Later, as a result of the anti-religious politics of the Communist Party, the church was redesigned to house a savings bank. |
